Great Britain

Brian and I lived in England from December 1990 - August 1993. We lived in Bicester, a small town about 8 miles north of Oxford. Brian was in the Air Force stationed at RAF Upper Heyford. Being about 1 hour from London, we made frequent trips into the city. Other trips included Scotland, Liverpool, Wales, Stratford Upon Avon, and Oxford, of course.

This is a floating replica of Great Britain (located at Albert Dock in Liverpool) that the weather man uses to do his forecast. He walks around the different parts of the country and either dumps snow or water and gives the projected temperature.

This is the roundabout from the Beatles' song "Penny Lane". My parents came to visit and we did a three week tour of Britain and Europe. Liverpool was one of the highlights, not only because my dad is a huge Beatles fan but more so because we had awesome accommodations at the Liverpool YMCA. That was when I was demoted from my travel agent position. At least we were there on culture night.
