New York City

towers.jpgMy first trip to New York City was in November 2000.  Brian got sent for two weeks on a business trip and I called my sister, and away we went.  We stayed at the Soho Grand and had a great view of the city.  While Brian slaved away at work Veronica and I took in the sites.  We all went to the Thanksgiving Day Parade and Statue of Liberty.  I have never been so cold not waited in lines so long in my life.  I have since been back to New York and love it.  Never have I been around so many people who are content with you simply ignoring them rather that saying hello and giving that curtsey smile.  It's not that they are not friendly, there is just such great get-to-work energy with everyone so task centered.  My kind of people.  now I go every March for the ACA Tri-State Camping Conference.

Cooperstown

My parents and I went to Cooperstown for the induction ceremony for the Baseball Hall of Fame.  It is hard to find places to stay so if you are going induction weekend and want tips let me know.  We stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast Chalet Waldheim and Franzi Kuhne, the owner, made the stay exceptional.
