My
Story
Growing up Catholic, religion
was always a part of my life; but it wasn't until my last year of college
that I realized God was interested in me personally. I knew that Christ
died on the cross but I never really thought about why that mattered to
me in the 90's. I asked a lot of questions and finally figured out that
what my life was missing was a personal commitment to Christ. I had been
trying to go my way for such a long time. I tried to fill the emptiness
that only God can fill with everything else - softball, collecting baseball
cards, shopping, etc. Once I reordered my life and put God first, everything
fell into place. My journey with Christ has been amazing and has taken
me all over the world. Ask me about it and I can fill you in. People
ask, ``How do you know God is real and not just something made up to help
you through?" I know God is real because He profoundly change me.
Youth Ministry & Church
Brian and I were volunteers with the High
School group at First Presbyterian
Church, Berkeley. I worked with the Senior
Girls (`01) but they graduated and are now
nearning the end of their college career. I am without a group
at the moment. We have also just transfered churches. We
love First Pres in Berkeley but needed to find a church closer to home. We
absolutely love our new church, Willow
Spring Church in Moraga.
Josh and Kristi Patty
While stationed in England,
Brian and I volunteered with Josh and Kristi who are overseas youth workers
with Malachi Ministries. They have moved to Slovenia to raise up youth
workers. They have given up a lot to live in a foreign country
to serve God. They are close friends and just delightful to be with they
also have really awesome kids.
We loved you so much we were delighted to share
with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because
you had become so dear to us.
