Psychologist/Faculty Member, Gallup Certified Coach
I am a UC Berkeley-trained psychologist, retired faculty member, and strengths expert helping high performing individuals maximize their strengths to reach a goal, solve a problem, get direction, and figure out life. Teams and managers bring me in when they need a specialist in Clifton Strengths and group dynamics to help improve group communication, refocus an executive team, and build cohesion after reorganization. Highly effective close-knit groups hire me for team building events to bring the team to a deeper level of understanding and trust.
My services are unique because I have a learner-centered approach to teaching and curriculum design. Learner-centered workshops and coaching emphasize the active and reflective nature of learning and learners. I bring over 25 years experience training summer camp staff and an experiential and fun teaching style that is engaging as well as comprehensive.
In 2008 I co-founded WorkStrengths with Betsy Flanagan, and since then we have coached and trained 2000+ individuals on StrengthsFinder and Strengths Based Leadership and Management including Fortune 500s, startups, mid-size companies, government, education, veteran groups, and non-profit organizations. I am the Director of Veteran Programs & Campus Outcomes with Zac Brown’s Camp Southern Ground serving military veterans in their transition to civilian life where I am able to apply my strengths and passion to help veterans find their new path and mission post service.
